Lumbarda Classic 2026.
On Saturday, August 22 at 9:00 PM, the Cultural Centre in Lumbarda will once again become a meeting place for outstanding classical music and Croatia’s rich musical heritage.
The third edition of Lumbarda Classica, conducted by maestro Ivan Hut, brings its richest programme to date, dedicated to Croatian music and traditional songs from different regions of Croatia – from Međimurje and Zagorje, through Dalmatian and Dubrovnik musical heritage, to the traditional melodies of the island of Korčula and Lumbarda.
The programme features works by great Croatian composers such as Josip Štolcer Slavenski, Boris Papandopulo, Jakov Gotovac and Fran Lhotka-Kalinski, alongside compositions by Roko Radovan, who also created the orchestral arrangements for this year’s programme.
Following last year’s edition, Nela Šarić, Martina Menegoni and Matija Meić return to Lumbarda, while this year’s soloist ensemble is joined by Valentina Fijačko Kobić and Luciano Batinić, Principal Artists of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
A special part of the evening will be dedicated to Klapa Ivo Lozica, two-time winners of the Festival of Dalmatian Klapa Singing in Omiš.
The soloists will be accompanied by the Lumbarda Classic Orchestra, assembled especially for this festival evening. The orchestra brings together musicians from the Croatian National Theatres in Zagreb and Split, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, students of the Academy of Music in Zagreb, and guest artists. The orchestra is led by concertmaster Valter Lovričević.
